Enterprise Campus Network

A four-site enterprise network built from scratch by a team of six, and I worked every layer of it: routing and switching, firewalls and VPNs, the servers, and the SIEM and IPS that watch it all.

Four sites, one network, from the cable up

As a six-person team we designed and built an enterprise network joining four separate sites over an MPLS L3VPN. I configured the routing and switching underneath it: OSPF, VLANs, ACLs and PAT.

An edge that holds, and a breach that stays small

I set up the next-generation firewalls, the VPN tunnels between sites and the segmentation rules, so a compromised machine in one zone cannot reach the rest while staff keep working across all four sites.

A network someone can operate

I stood up the servers the network depends on (DNS, DHCP) and the monitoring that watches it: an IPS on the traffic, and every device’s logs in Splunk and FortiSIEM. We left diagrams and documentation for whoever runs it next.

One project, every job in it

The same build covers the work of several roles.

Network administration: routing, switching, MPLS between sites.

Firewall and VPN administration: the edge and the tunnels.

Systems: the servers everything else relies on.

Security monitoring: a SIEM and an IPS over the whole network.
